June is rightly celebrated as the pride month all over the world to honor the Stonewell riots which took place in 1969. These riots turned out to be a turning point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
Therefore, to commemorate the impact of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community in India and around the world, the month of June witnesses various pride parades and queer festivals.

India is also slowly but steadily coming out of the closet as it was last year only, that the Supreme Court scrapped section 377 of the IPC which criminalized homosexuality.
Post this move, many Indian cities have now become more welcoming towards the LGBTQ community.
So here’s a list of the most woke places in the country that truly celebrate the spirit of ‘genderless’ love.
