Dennis Relojo-Howell Started as a Travel Blogger and Advocate of the Psychological Benefits of Blogging. He is Now the Face of Blog Psychology Globally

Dennis Relojo-Howell, the psychologist who has been dubbed by the media as ‘the word’s first blog psychologist’ launched his book, Let’s Talk About Behaviour: Essays on Psychology, Mental Health, and Well-being. The book is a collection of essays that build on the content of Dennis’s psychology website, Psychreg, a platform that he originally launched as a directory of people who are interested in psychology that has since morphed into a leading online source for articles that cover a broad range of mental health topics.

‘The overarching aim of the book is not only to offer the latest research trends and perspectives on topics we cover on Psychreg,’ said Dennis, ‘but also to reveal a nuanced understanding of the intersecting fields within psychology, mental health, and well-being. I hope this book will stimulate a greater understanding and appreciation of mental health among professionals in the field as well as the general public.’

A repertoire of resources

On any given day, a quick Google News search for ‘Psychreg’ or ‘Dennis Relojo-Howell’ brings up what appears to be a never-ending list of articles written by, about, or related-to Dennis or his leading website, Psychreg.

Dennis’s success with Psychreg, along with a YouTube Channel that has garnered thousands of views, and his new book have created a repertoire of resources upon which Dennis is building a legacy around important mental health issues and topics in psychology.

Articles on the website, like How Normalisation of Anxiety Sets Us Back highlight current mental health topics in the media whereas others, like The Essential Companion to Talking Therapy are timely topics geared towards professionals and developments in the field of psychology. His self-named YouTube Channel, Dennis Relojo-Howell, holds a bank of content created to help the general public, like ‘How to Cope with Hair Loss and Baldness’, ‘Art Therapy and Eating Disorders’, ‘The Psychology of Success’, and nearly 100 other topics featuring Dennis and other experts in the respective topic being discussed.

Since the launch of his website in 2014, the start of his YouTube Channel in 2016, and now with his new book, Dennis has built a robust ecosystem of content meant to help people understand various mental health topics. He has also worked extensively to promote the positive psychological benefits of blogging by serving as a keynote speaker, and featured guest for private events, academic events, and in the worldwide media. Dennis has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Psychology & Society, Journal of Educational Sciences & Psychology, and CPQ Neurology & Psychology. He is currently working on his PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Edinburgh. His new book is available on Amazon Kindle.
