India is a country of many cultures, traditions and languages. Having a rich past, it has always been a melting pot of culture, people and languages.

Among a few ancient languages are Pali, Prakrit, Tulu and Sanskrit etc. However, not all of them are spoken today. In a time when modern dialects are amalgamated with ancient oral traditions, it becomes harder to preserve old languages in all their purity.

But in the midst of all this, there remains a village in Karnataka called Mattur, where the charm and royalty of Sanskrit is still preserved. It is the only village in the world of its kind, with a population of 5000.
