Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has certainly cemented himself as something of a messiah in this time of crisis.

Sometimes it does feel like it leapt right out of the script of a movie, but seeing some of the work that Sonu Sood has done is certainly inspirational.

The way he rose up to help out the hapless migrant workers who were stuck without any aid or help and got them to their homes is not something we can say every actor or public personality did.

First, he arranged for buses and when it called for, he even arranged flights for people who needed it the most in order to get back to their homes.

Now news has come out that Sood has prepared chartered flights to get back Indian students who are currently stuck in Kyrgyzstan.

What Is Sonu Sood Doing?

On 21st July 2020, Sonu Sood tweeted out:

In his tweet, he declared that the first chartered flight will be operating from 22nd July from Bishkek to Varanasi.

Prior to this, he had tweeted out on 15th July 2020 asking students to mail him regarding information about their rescue and even clarified that there were no monetary charges for this mission.

Around 20 medical students who originate from Jharkhand and Bihar are being rescued in this mission.

Kyrgyzstan is a place near Russia where right now there are almost 3,000 Indians students stuck due to the lockdown caused by coronavirus.

Saddam Khan a student from Jharkhand stated in a tweet that, “We thank Sonu Sood, Kunal Sarangi and Rekha Mishra for their collective effort to help 3000 Indian students pursuing medical degree at Asian Medical Institute (AMI) in Kyrgyzstan, one of the many nations worst hit by global pandemic Covid-19. The process to rescue us and evacuate us has started and Sonu Sood has assured us that we need not pay any flight charge for our journey back to India.”

Former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi also was quoted saying, “One of the 20 students from Jharkhand and Bihar is from Jamshedpur. It would not have been possible without the active efforts by Sonu Sood. He had contacted Yadav, one of the students, on the mobile number shared by them in the video message.”
