The 2019 elections are almost here, barely less than an year away, and the campaigning for it has already started it seems with Narendra Modi’s NaMo app selling Brand Modi merchandise.

The app that has PM’s personal mobile application has about 10 million downloads till yet and is available on both Android and iOS softwares.

The items available in the brand merchandise section vary across the various campaigns that PM Modi has started in his time as the Prime Minister of the country, such Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Make In India and more.

Available in several different kinds of merchandise, people have the option of buying Brand Modi items like notebooks, pens, caps, t-shirts, mugs, stickers all of which sports slogans like Yuva Shakti, Mera Bharat Swachh Bharat, NaMo Again, India MODIfied and range from around Rs. 100 to Rs. 200.

As per reports, the funds collected from these sales will be given to the Clean Ganga Fund.

Clearly, this is an attempt to connect with young India that is more aware of merch and its promotion on social media is evident.

But it seems that the Indian youth is not exactly taken with the idea and are more intent on trolling the posts made by the official NaMo Merchandise Facebook page.

Here we take a look at some of the funniest comments under one of their sponsored ads that popped up on our Facebook wall:
