To promote their upcoming Yashraj film, Dawate Ishq, actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra visited certain colleges in the north campus Delhi University. Living up to its name “Daawat”-e-Ishq, the team particularly decided to visit the canteens of the selected colleges. These colleges included Miranda house, Ramjas College, Hansraj College other than Hindu college.
The much awaited star cast was welcomed with a large number of students, tirelessly waiting to see their favourite stars, for the last 4 hours. Finally at about 6 both Aditya and Parineeti entered the canteen and the entire crowd cheered them up. Both of them stood on of the top of a bench set in the centre of the canteen and started to address the audience. However in the beginning the crowd was too excited to have the stars present amongst them, the crowd kept on hooting and cheering. Once the crowd calmed down, Parineeti in high spirits acknowledged the presence of large number of boys who had come to see them in Hindu college. She mentioned it was in contrast to the large number of girls present just to see Aditya roy kapur in the other colleges they visited before coming to Hindu. Aditya then asked all the students what ‘Daawat’ is the best in their college canteen, everybody replied the “anda bread from the roll waale Bhaiya is great”. So a plate of omelette and bread was served who then seemed to relish the meal. Next they urged the crowd to watch Daawat e Ishq which is releasing on the 19th of September 2014.The crowd also responded positively to the request. Tickling the funny bone both the stars asked the students to bunk their classes in college and watch the film. Before ending their brief visit they took a selfie with the crowd, the crowd got enthusiastic about being in the same picture as their favourite stars. The actors then left the campus leaving the audience satisfied and happy. Next they visited Hansraj College. Even before the cast of ’Daawat-e-Ishq” came to visit Hindu college, the college canteen has been a pretty famous spot as all the canteen scenes in the movie “Rockstar” are also shot in Hindu college’s canteen.

Essentially Daawat-e-Ishq is a love story, yet again from Yashraj films, the banner which is synonymous with producing the finest love stories in Hindi cinema. This story is one between a sales girl and a cook. Both the characters come from different backgrounds and places, Parineeti plays the role of a Hyderabadi sales girl where as Aditya plays the role of the charming cook from Lucknow. Thus the movie revolves around the fusion of the cultures of these two individuals whose fusion ends up making a delicious ‘Daawat-e-Ishq. Apart from Aditya and Parineeti, the film also stars Anupam Kher and a television artist Karan Wahi. The movie is set to release this Friday and has managed to create a buzz especially amongst students of Delhi University with this event of promotion.
