Tabu has turned 50 recently and revealed in her latest interview that the main reason she still hasn’t settled down is all because of actor Ajay Devgn.
The duo has been magnificent in their past movies and will be once again seen in the theatres in two other projects to leave us in awe with their on-screen chemistry.
From Vijaypath to Drishyam to Golmaal Again, the pair has mesmerized the audience with their chemistry every time.
The actors have shared a close friendship off-screen, were very close growing up, and shared an ‘unconditional affection’.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the De De Pyaar De actress opened up about her relationship with Ajay and why he is the reason that she still is single.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror in 2017, before the release of her film Golmaal Again, Tabu had talked about the reason why she never got married. She had said, “Ajay and I have known each other for 25 years. He was my cousin Sameer Arya’s neighbour and close buddy, a part of my growing-up years and that has laid the foundation of our relationship.
When I was young, Sameer and Ajay would spy on me, follow me around and threaten to beat up any boys who were caught talking to me. They were the big bullies and if I am single today, it is because of Ajay. I hope he repents and regrets what he did.”

In another interview with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Tabu said, “They know me too well. They know what’s good for me.” When the RJ asked what was good for Tabu, Ajay answered, “We are good for her.”
Tabu further expressed that she didn’t settle down because she had settled within Ajay’s family. She said, “doston ki family apni family hai.”
The Andhadhun actress also joked that she had asked him to find someone for her to marry. “If there is anyone I can count on, it’s Ajay. He is like a child and yet so protective. The atmosphere on set when he’s around is stress-free. We share a unique relationship and an unconditional affection,” she added.
On the professional front, the duo will again be seen together on the big screens in their upcoming movies; Drishyam 2, a remake of a Malayalam crime-thriller dated to be released on November 18, 2022, and another remake, Bholaa, of the Tamil hit Kaithi will release worldwide on March 30, 2023.
