I am not the one who believes in rumors but we have a pretty good reason to believe that Jose Mourinho is on the verge of getting sacked as the manager of Manchester United.

Manchester United faced Brighton and Hove Albion in their first away match of the season and they lost it 3-2. This might be the final nail in the coffin for Jose Mourinho’s stint at Manchester United.

And it’s not just because of their defeat away from home, there are many reasons why Jose Mourinho might face the axe and they are being repeated from his time at Real Madrid.

Pre-Season Wasted On Criticising Club Authorities:

Not that pre-season results matter a lot to a big club like Manchester United as it is generally used to try out new tactics and new players on the field.

All Jose Mourinho did the entire pre-season was complaining that the club officials are not getting him the signings he wanted.

He even went on air to criticise Manchester United’s chief negotiator Matt Judge for not getting him the players he had specifically asked for.

What’s worse is that while playing the players from reserves he went on air to say that they were “not his players”.

New Club Same Fights:

For a non-United fan, it does look like Mourinho and Paul Pogba are not on good terms. Even though Mourinho has denied of any such fight, and even appointed him as a captain, there are many factors from Paul Pogba’s side which make us believe that there is something definitely wrong.

His men looked completely uninspired and lost on the field in their defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Also, it’s no secret that Mourinho had a tiff with players from his previous clubs. He has benched many players and mistreated even more. Even a nonchalant player like Iker Casillas has gone on air to lash out against Jose Mourinho.

Before, he at least got results. But now nothing seems to be going his way.

Not ‘The Special One’ At United:

All the press conference and weird excuses aside, Jose Mourinho is definitely one of the most successful managers. He has even won a Champions League trophy with a club like Inter Milan and Porto.

The only major trophy he has won with Manchester United is the Europa in the 2016-17 season.

He is criticised by former United players on a daily basis and even Sir Alex Ferguson was not so keen on having him as manager at Manchester United in the first place.

Will Zidane Be The Next Manager?

If sources are to be believed, Zinedine Zidane is most likely to succeed Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

I personally believe that it is too soon for Zidane to manage a club in the English Premier League and especially not a big club like Manchester United.

Only time will tell how soon Jose Mourinho will be sacked.

When do you think ‘The Special One’ will bid farewell to Manchester United? Let us know in the comments!
