All work and no play makes every Jack a dull manager. Sangharsh ’20, the first ever Inter B-School sports fest organized by DoMS, IIT Roorkee is a three day sports extravaganza from 10th to 12th January 2020 that brings out the warrior inside the future managers.
With excellent sports facilities that will cater to the need, IIT Roorkee hosts this new battleground for sports enthusiasts from premier B-Schools, where they can compete to know who reigns supreme.
With an assortment of indoor and outdoor games accompanied by many other events, Sangharsh ’20 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the B- School calendar across the country.
A game that the whole nation worships. Cricket is part of everyone among us. Sangharsh will inflame the battles between the teams when they try to out-skill, outsmart and outplay each other in the wonderful Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium of IIT Roorkee.
Football is a sport that is played across the globe. Adorned with floodlights and well maintained ground the Dhyan Chand stadium becomes the perfect venue for the event. Dashing sprints, perfect crosses, powerful volleys and the high flying saves the games are bound to fire up the spirit of everyone this winter.
Fast and exciting. The new age poster sport of India, badminton is very close to DoMS, IIT Roorkee. Thrilling smashes, measured placements and monumental stamina, a game that never seems to disappoint anyone involved in it. With excellent indoor Badminton court, Sangharsh welcomes the baddies to master those aces.
Three touches, infinite possibilities. Volleyball is a game packed with action. Teamwork defines the game with everyone working together for one common aim, to outsmart their opponents. With both men and women setting out to prove their mettle this event is bound to create waves.
The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team. Conjure up your inner Jordan, to run past the defense, jump high and slam dunk through the hoop. Basketball is from the 1800s and has lived through the test of time. A guy named James Naismith came up with the idea back then in the United States.
Blink and you will miss. Table tennis will feature teams fighting out both singles and doubles match up, trying to trump their opponents at every corner. A game requiring immense concentration and cat like reflexes, the facility provided by the indoor table tennis hall is sure to keep everyone on their toes.
Federer or Nadal, Serena or Sharapova. Whoever your idol be the floodlit synthetic courts of IIT Roorkee is sure to be the arena to showcase your talent. With hard smashes and those perfect aces this stamina draining sport will surely make you excited through the chilly winter.
Concentration and hand eye coordination these are what makes an excellent cue ball player. Focus on the ball, align your angle and take that perfect shot in Sangharsh with both snooker and pool.
Sangharsh is all about the battles and who says it stays on the field? From the strategic war of minds, to skillful maneuvering of carrom, the adrenaline rush of online gaming we have them all. The night events brings to the lot games like Chess, Carrom, Foosball and PUBG where the players can challenge others and show who the real boss is.
