The hugely popular game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, more commonly known as PUBG, just came out with its latest update, with PUBG Mobile becoming the first platform to receive the update.
The update was hugely anticipated by the smartphone users, with leaks doing the rounds since months. It was particularly awaited because it came with a new snow map, known as the Vikendi map. The new map is a 6km x 6km map, with Arctic landscape.
PUBG Mobile servers were taken down on 18th December for maintenance, and they are now back online along with all the new additions.
The latest version, known as PUBG 0.10.0, is now available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The size of the update is around 1.6 GB on Android and 2.1 GB on iOS.
All this said and done, let’s see what we’ve got in this latest PUBG update –
Vikendi Map
Vikendi is the 4th map in the game, after Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. Although the new map is larger than Sanhok, it is still smaller than Erangel and Miramar.
The most exciting aspect of this map is the new snow weather that it brings along with it. With the new map, players will also get an exclusive snowmobile vehicle.
It must be noted that although the new Vikendi map has been added on to the Mobile servers, it is not yet available for players to play.
The new map will be available for download from 5:30 am IST on 20th December.

Cross-Server Matchmaking
Cross-server matchmaking is another big feature which comes with the latest update. It will be available 24 hours after the Vikendi update, that is, from 21st December.
