Friends, the iconic American show is finally becoming of legal drinking age in India.

That is just a long way of saying that the evergreen show is soon turning 25 years on 22nd September 2019.

The silver jubilee of this show is a big event considering Friends till date remains as popular as ever.

If you don’t believe me just check Comedy Central at around 10 pm every day and on weekends when there are full-day marathon sessions.

Each time the series ends, CC re-starts the show all over again and gives you some reason to even open the TV in the first place.

But apart from that Google has stepped up its game with interactive searches just in time for the show’s 25th anniversary.

Google has apparently added a lot of Easter eggs that are unique to each individual character of Friends.

They have taken some of the key phrases or moments from Ross, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey and Chandler and laid it out for fans of the show to enjoy.

What Is This New Feature?

Google is really going beyond their interesting and creative but now standard doodles at the main search page.

To find the new Friends feature all you have to do is search for the character name along with the word ‘friends’.

So basically you can write: Phoebe friends; Rachel friends; Chandler friends.

Once you do that on the right-hand side of the results page you will see the ‘knowledge panel’.

In that panel you will see an icon like this.

Simply click this icon and just wait for the magic to happen.

If you are unable to, here are the different interactive things that happen for each of the 6 characters when you click on their icon.

For Chandler you get the iconic Barcalounger along with the chick and the duck walking all across the screen.

When you click on the Rachel head in the panel, you are taken to an image result page for ‘The Rachel,’ a historical haircut that was all the rage when the show first started.

In fact, such was its popularity that Jennifer Aniston who played the role of Rachel got sick and tired of her own haircut.

Who can ever forget Phoebe’s song ‘Smelly Cat’ and how relevant it is even today. Phoebe’s symbol is the guitar and when you click on it, the song plays with a cat jumping around the screen.

Ross has the whole ‘pivot’ moment given to him which pretty much defines the character in one go.

Make sure you click it a couple of times as the phrase “pivot” is heard with the couch eventually breaking in half and Ross saying, “OK, I don’t think it’s gonna pivot anymore.”

Joey’s search result shows a bunch of junk food items along with 2 hands coming out from the bottom of the screen with his line “Joey doesn’t share food” resounding around you.

Monica’s obsessive cleaning habit is shown in hers with a cleaning sponge coming up and cleaning around her name with a ‘squeak, squeak’ sound effect.

Thanks Google for making this whole experience so enjoyable!
