The world’s biggest electronic music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival is all set to make its debut in INDIA, this year. The event is scheduled for the 12th and 13th November at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida; and is organized by Insomniac and Only Much Louder (OML) in partnership with Budweiser.
About EDC
The carnival is the brainchild of Insomniac Events and was started in 1996. For a company that strives to give an experience like no other, it brings in state-of-the-art lighting, fireworks, electrifying sound design, large-scale art installations, theatrical performers and even special effects to the EDC. It has been held at venues across the US, Mexico, the UK, Brazil and even Japan.
The EDC is a Vegas style festival, with each festive stage representing a distinct fusion of nature and technology. The carnival was dubbed the ‘American Ibiza’ in 2010 and attracted over 4 million fans at the three-day flagship event at Las Vegas, Nevada in 2014.
The Stages
EDC India will have three stages – The kineticFIELD (main stage), circuitGROUNDS, and neonGARDEN; each with their special distinctions in the kind of music played, ambiance and experience offered. Artists like Afrojack, Alesso, R3HAB, Nucleya, Steve Aoki and even the Dualist Inquiry will be present at EDC to set the stage ablaze!
The festive ground will also have interactive art installations that are jaw-dropping, and inspiring.
Eligibility
Well, here is the best part! There is no eligibility criterion. To be more specific, EDC is open to all age groups. For those who are below the age of sixteen years, need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Apart from the tickets, it is also important that one carries a valid Government issued ID proof that has the date of birth and photograph of the visitor.
Facilities At The Event
With no outside food or beverages allowed on the grounds, EDC ensures that its audience doesn’t go hungry or dehydrate with its free hydration stations, and food stalls. To add to this, EDC also serves alcohol (Budweiser! duh!) to only those who are above the Legal Drinking Age.
The tickets too are up for sale starting at Rs. 3500 for two days (unlike the expensive speculated concert that is to be held in Mumbai), and are available at the EDC India website. The event starts at 2pm and ends at 10pm. With OML and Insomniac collaborating, EDC India is sure to be a hell of an experience.
