Philanthropist Priyal Keni gives back to the society

A Shiv Chattrapati Awardee, Miss Priyal Keni has represented India as a member of the Indian rifle shooting team at several international competitions such as the World University Games and the World Championships.
Being a Chartered Accountant by qualification,Priyal Keni’s poised approach towards life gave her the ability to do justice to both her professional life & sports life .At the 2019 national shooting championships held in Bhopal she shot a world class score of 624.3 missing the final by a mere 0.8. However, she made a podium finish with a bronze medal in the 3-position small bore event.
Priyal Keni  is the first generation sportsperson in her family and has always been grateful for the unconditional support she got from her parents to pursue her dreams. Since her school days, Priyal Keni has been actively involved as a volunteer with several NGO’s through which she developed a passion for social work & after having spent more than a decade in the sports arena she decided to use this passion to drive a positive social change in the society through the medium of sports. This motivated her to start the Play and Shine foundation through which she is actively involved in working with children belonging to underprivileged backgrounds such as migrant worker families, tribal communities and other marginalised sections of the society by imparting sports education in order to foster their overall individual and community development. The foundation also conducts several donation drives to resource essential food and other items to malnourished children in addition to its sports literacy programs.
Currently a candidate of the 6 week learning sprint of the International Olympic Committees- Young Leaders Program, Priyal Keni has a vision to ensure that every individual has the equal right and opportunity to play sports and build an inclusive sports culture by empowering more children to become leaders of tomorrow.
