November 07: Her expert fashion styling skills have taken her to the forefront as now she’s working with some of the biggest entertainment industries in the country.

The world of fashion has introduced many talented individuals who have done spectacular work and showcased their skills in the most impressive manner. A few though have broken all barriers and shone brightly owing to their distinctive capabilities which have popularized their craft on a wide scale. Laxmi Krishna is one such name who has done stupendously well in the area of fashion by displaying her outstanding work that has taken her to the top of the game. She’s amongst India’s well known fashion designers and celebrity stylists whose work spans across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industry.

She says that fashion has always inspired her right from the beginning, the reason she decided to carry on with this profession going ahead in life. Her stint with the film industry started with Bollywood when she designed for popular names like Urfi Javed, Giorgia Andriani, Tanya Sharma, Avika Gor, Gulki Joshi, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah leads Sunayana Fozdar and Priya Ahuja, Ruma Sharma, Kashika Kapoor, Alisha Panwar, Monika Khanna and singers like Priya Mallick, Priya Saraiya and a few others. Her work got due recognition owing to its exquisiteness, the reason work from across other film industries started pouring in, majorly from the South.

Laxmi has always led from the front, be it in her profession or other areas. This BE Engineer, with MBA from London and Fashion from Cambridge University, is also a professional Bharatanatyam dancer and a gold medalist in face reading. Furthermore, she has also established her own brand “Laxmi Krishna Label,” which has been a part of more than 30 Kannada movies within a span of three years, even winning her three National Awards for films like Ranganayaki, Giftbox, and Amruthamathi. Her recent release Ranganayaki was also selected for the International Film Festival Goa, and Amruthamathi was selected for Boston Film Festival. Her other films Giftbox and Gubbi Mele Brahmastra have also been a part of many film festivals.

Laxmi has also been a part of many international pageants, styling for some of the biggest brands worldwide. Her list of accomplishments is never ending as she has also won The Times of India Film Icon Award 2020, State Award Winner for Best Designer from Colors Kannada and Hemmeya Kannadiga Award 2021. She says that this year her work will be seen in upcoming films like Vijayanand, Dil Pasand, Katle, Thaiytha, Tridevi, Ward no 11, Champion, Dwimukha, Hagga, and also an OTT film.
