Indian Politicians And The Songs That Describe Them The Best

By Kshiteeja Tomar

Like the diverse country that India is, the Indian politicians seem even more diverse. Be it their style, the way they talk or the way that they never leave a chance to prove the opposition wrong. The Indian politicians seem to have nothing missing in them and it turns they seem to be the most entertaining and happening political leaders around.

So come along as we take a ride and try to figure out the songs that completely describe or remind us these famous people of our nation.

  • Narendra Modi: Get out the Way by Ludacris

This badass song perfectly describes NaMo who we all know is super cool and takes no shit from nobody.

  • Rahul Gandhi: Friday by Rebecca

No surprise of how smart he is that he needs every li’l thing spelled out in front of him. For people who haven’t heard this song, it’s a song basically about a girl who sings in her irritating nasally voice and teaches people about the days in the week. To make it even better, Rebecca also has a song called Saturday. Guess who else doesn’t get a hint.

  • Arvind Kejriwal: Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner

Time and time again when we try to dislike the Kejriwal Government, he makes us change our minds with his ability to do something new and sometimes stupid. He is one of those leaders who love to make extravagant promises and runs away the first chance he gets.

  • Raj Thackeray: We Are All In This Together from High School Musical

With a state as huge as Maharashtra, it is surely easy to forget that “North-Indians” and “South Indians” are a part of our India as well. And no, we don’t blame him at all. *cue evil smiley*. Though here is our song which we’d want him to listen and develop some sense of nationalism.

  • Smriti Irani: Only Happy when it Rains By Garbage

Just the mention of her name is enough to bring us to tears. Her amazing ability to control her tears and get away with whatever she wants is commendable. Hence, the song.

  • Lalu Prasad Yadav: Eye to Eye by Taher Shah

This world famous politician has been through a lot in his life and no, we are not talking about the time when he got arrested. Be it the Indian railways or the Bihar Government, Yadav was successful in maintaining all the positions for 5 years. And let’s not forget about his ability to “translate himself” in English.

  • Manmohan Singh: If I Were A Boy by Beyonce

Not many of us have had a pleasure of listening to the soulful voice of our very own ex-Prime Minister. Although he was an amazing leader, one of the abilities that we wish he had were to take decisions on his own or in other words to act like a man sometimes.

So there, we tried to sum up the lives of our favourite politicians with the above-mentioned songs. Let us know what you think.
