Shark Tank currently airing on SonyTV has become a sensation in every Indian household. Every aspiring entrepreneur today is looking up to the judges of Shark Tank India, wanting to be like them. They all created brands that we have used at least once, if not more often.

Ashneer Grover pursued B.Tech. in Civil from IIT Delhi and then MBA from IIM Ahmedabad following which he joined Kotak Investment Banking as Vice President. He then worked at American Express for 2 years as the Director of Corporate Development.

He then joined Grofers as its Chief Financial Officer and worked there for two and a half years, following which he worked at PC Jewelers for a year as Head of New Business.

He co-founded BharatPe in 2018, which is valued at over $3 billion today.

Aman Gupta is the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at boAt Lifestyle, a brand primarily known for its headphones and speakers. He did his B.Com. Hons from Delhi University and simultaneously did CA studies from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountancy India).

He then pursued MBA from Kellogg School of Management and then from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. His marketing skills are excellent and this is what makes him unique in the Shark Tank Judge panel.

Peyush Bansal did his Bachelors of Engineering Honors – Electrical, IT, Control & Automation from McGill University, Canada. He then went to IIM Bangalore to pursue a post-grad in Entrepreneurship.

There’s no public information about Anupam Mittal’s graduation but he did his MBA in Operations and Strategic Management from Boston College, USA. He is the founder of the popular matrimony website Shaadi.com. He has invested in over 200 companies, including Ola Cabs where he holds 2% equity.

Vineeta Singh, very much like Ashneer, did her B.Tech first from IIT Madras in Electrical Engineering following which she pursued MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. She got a job offer of Rs. 1 Crore post her MBA, which she turned down to start her own company.

After a couple of failures, Sugar Cosmetics was born. Vineeta is active in sports also.

Namita Thapar did her graduation in Commerce from Pune University and CA from ICAI. She went to Fuqua School of Business, Duke University for her MBA. She took control of Emcure Pharmaceutical as its CFO first and is now the Executive Director of the company which is set to release its IPO this year.

Ghazal Alagh is the co-founder of MamaEarth, whose parent company Honasa became the first unicorn of 2022. She pursued Intensive Courses in Modern Art, Design, and Applied Arts from the New York Academy of Arts.
