For most people, their car is one of their most cherished belongings. And why shouldn’t it be? It is not a cheap purchase and a lot of tears and sweat goes into making this purchase possible. And this is when the car is not of any big brand. But now imagine that it is Tesla. Multiply all the emotions as well as monetary investment by 10.
Tesla, after all, is the Apple of the automobile sector. It comes up with the best innovations, designs, and user interface, and obviously, the highest prices as well. But car fanatics don’t mind paying the price for its features.
But, these things are not enough to keep the customers happy and satisfied. One of the oldest, most important, and most promising things in business is customer service. Tesla may be the uncrowned king in other areas but apparently not in customer service as proven by the recent incident.
Man, Unsatisfied By Customer Service, Explodes His Tesla
Tuomas Katainen, a Finland-based man, blew his Tesla by 30kgs of dynamite upon knowing the cost of engine repair. Owner of the 2013 Tesla Model S, he was unsatisfied with the company’s customer service and expressed his disappointment in quite an unusual way.
He started facing issues in the instrument cluster and its repair cost was coming out to be around Rs. 17 lac without any guarantee.
“When I bought that Tesla, the first 1,500 km were nice. It was an excellent car. Then the error codes hit. So I ordered the tow truck to take my car to the service station.
For almost a month the car was at the dealer’s workshop and I finally got a call that they cannot do anything for my car.
The only option is to change the whole battery cell. It would cost me at least 20,000 Euros. So, I told them I am coming to pick up my car. And now I am going to explode the whole car away because apparently there was no guarantee or anything.”

The incident was recorded by a YouTube channel named Pommijatkat. Watch the video here:
An effigy of Elon Musk was strapped to the front seat and blown with the car.
The video has already garnered over 500k views and people have admired the courage of the car owner.
“You guys are amazing, hope the Tesla fan club see this! It’s a joke how short lived these very expensive cars are, a real shame in my eyes. Well done, you guys are insane and nuts and VERY COOL!!! Love it!” one person wrote.
“So much effort took by you guys to bring attention of higher authorities of Tesla. People understand tech some time create such problems but the worst problem is agency just dont care after they sold you once. Service center should understand how much one has invested to buy their car and how they get treated after car is sold. Respect to the owner who has shot this videos with the help of Pommijakat just to bring attention. Tesla need to do something about it,” wrote another user.
