Established romance author Skye McDonald releases Nemesis, the next installment of the Anti-Belle trilogy

-

Author Skye McDonald recently released Nemesis, the next installment of her Anti-Belle trilogy. McDonald was inspired to begin penning the series after listening to Ray Lamontagne’s “New York City’s Killing Me”, and the story is set in the author’s hometown of Nashville. She envisioned a character who flees from her dream life in the big city and returns to her hometown out of desperation.

The Anti-Belle series follows a series of heroines as they juggle their love lives, careers, and personal upsets. McDonald imbues her characters with a wealth of descriptive detail and interesting professions that highlight the versatility of the modern working woman. For example, Celeste, the leading lady in Not Suitable for Work, is a brilliant web designer who has mastered multiple coding languages.

Fans of Sally Thorne, Barbara O’Neal, and Helen Hoang are sure to identify with McDonald’s relatable characters and entertaining sense of humor. Reviewers describe Nemesis as both “steamy” and “touching.” Between McDonald’s fearless female leads, lovably imperfect heroes, and captivating prose, readers from any background will enjoy what the Anti-Belle series has to offer. Her books are an excellent gateway into contemporary romance for men, and she encourages everyone to extend their reading to include romance.

In writing the Anti-Belle trilogy, McDonald emphasizes strength over charm and talent over beauty. She challenges the traditional trappings of romance by offering an alternative style that emphasizes personal growth and character development. Although romance is the central focus of her novels, Not Suitable for Work, Off the Record, and Nemesis all include themes of self-esteem, positive perception of self, and forming lasting ties with others.

Skye McDonald is an author, podcaster, English teacher, and life coach. Her contemporary romance novels are set in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. When she isn’t writing or helping others maximize their potential, McDonald enjoys searching for new adventures, no matter where they lead her. She can be found online at http://antibellelifestyle.com.

All three books in the Anti-Belle series are available for purchase on Amazon.com.
