Are you Sanskaari enough? Do you like watching Game Of Thrones more than Aastha channel? Vatsyaa, Life OK is all set to change that for you. The channel, which is to be rebranded as Star Bharat from Independence Day, has partnered with Colosceum Media to launch a bhajan reality show: Om Shanti Om.

Hold your horses.

No, there is no Shah Rukh Khan involved. However, Sonakshi Sinha is among the panel of judges for this reality show. The bhajan reality show will also see singing sensation Kanika Kapoor and music composer-singer-actor Shekhar Ravjiani on the judging panel along with Aparshakti Khurana as the host.

But hey, that’s not even the point!

Baba Ramdev will be the maha judge.

Yes. We’re not even kidding.

The “pet-andar-karo-bahar-karo” guy will be legit judging your musical proficiency. Maybe, Yoga is supposed to make you a good singer, who knows?

Om Shanti Om is a one-of-a-kind reality show where contestants will sing bhajans. Apart from 14 participants, the show will also feature performances by stalwarts from the bhajan music industry. Produced by Roadies, Splitsvilla and MasterChef India fame Colosceum Media, Om Shanti Om will launch later this month.

A source from the production house said to Indian Express, “More than a competition, Om Shanti Om will majorly present spirituality in a broader space. With the youth having no knowledge about bhajans, the makers want to introduce them to the new world, in a style that resonates with them. Baba Ramdev will share his insights and teachings with the contestants and audience.”

With the way Indian Television is diversifying (?) its content, this is one reality show we should be looking forward to for obvious reasons. Yes, I totally understand your Chester Bennington sentiments but as a true patriot, isn’t it kind of like your duty to follow everything Sanskaari? You are hardly Indian if you enjoy GoT more than Om Shanti Om. Period.
