After getting my mind & body tired from work and being sleep deprived to the point where I find myself metaphorically dead somewhere at my (or someone else’s?) home, I think I am authorized enough to explain to you why it is a good thing (Is it?).
And if you could relate to that intro, then this is the article for you.
I’d tell you in the beginning itself, that this is not where you crib about your work schedule. This is where you understand how your work schedule has been saving you.
By the end of this article, I hope to make you feel good about yourself.
1Keeps you distracted from problems
We all have had our share of problems, and will always have our problems. Our mind always keeps on wondering around these problems which in return lead us to being depressive or anxious.
When you are busy with your work, your focus is deviated from these problems and you can function better with your life. It keeps the negativity away from your life which will provide better outcomes from yourself.
The problems will, gradually, not be problems anymore because you are no longer feeding the problem by your negative thoughts and energy because Time kahan hai?
Sometimes it might just give you better things to worry about, which are good for you.
I am not telling you to dehumanize yourself but keeping busy just helps you embrace better emotions.

2Makes you productive and skilful
Keeping yourself busy just means you are constantly doing something. The constant action from you turns into a practice which makes you a better human for the sake of the human evolution. So you are not only helping yourself, you are also helping the human race!
Coming back to the individual aspect, after only a day you would notice that you just learned something which could change your life drastically and that could be anything! From gardening to debating, from reading/studying to dancing, from cooking to selling food! It could be just anything which would help you at any moment in your life.
Not only are you skillful but you are productive as well. You are investing in yourself. You become an asset in yourself. You can use it anytime in your great endeavours. It’s just a habit now after all.
3Makes partying/relaxing much more fun
When you have been putting in that work and giving all of yourself to it, the weekends are much more worth it.
Whether you are a party person or the type to just relax the whole day, your day offs make you feel astonishing. You feel it in yourself that you deserve it.
It becomes one of the most valuable times in your life and you don’t want to miss that opportunity anymore. You value your time now. (Last time I checked, all the great men do)
Now that I have laid out all the good things about being busy on the table and made you feel like working on something, let’s get back to work.
PS: – Here is a short tip to being busy: Always plan your days. Plans might not go through like you plan them to be but at least plans make you plan a plan.
That’s something.
