E-SUMMIT ‘17 – the Entrepreneurship festival of IIT Delhi to be held from the 3rd-5th March, is being organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IIT Delhi to provide a common platform for aspiring, budding and successful entrepreneurs to interact with each other.
The hallowed portals of IIT-Delhi have been known to breed as many innovative minds as it does impeccable engineers. The students here are known to diversify interests in fields apart from the core engineering fields and contribute to the society in multifarious non-traditional ways.
In such a scenario, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IIT-Delhi takes a place of immense importance. It is a body that fosters, nurtures and encourages an entrepreneurial atmosphere for the budding entrepreneurs of the campus, who have an innate desire to solve the problems around them.
In this regard, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, or EDC as it is better known, organises ‘E-Summit’ a massive three day national event in IIT-D campus, so that the internal pool of prospective entrepreneurs can interact with the entrepreneurial network outside in the entire nation.
This year, E-Summit 2017 is scheduled on the first weekend of March, 3rd-5th . This year speakers from and entrepreneurs from across the world will be converging at IIT-Delhi, a highlight in the entrepreneurial scene in not only India but also the whole of Asia.
The annual summit promises to be an amazing meeting ground for industry experts, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs and of course, students, many of whom are aspiring entrepreneurs.
With the high bar that E-Summit has set for itself, with past speakers like Chris Cox (CPO,Facebook),one would think it impossible for it to surpass its previous editions. However, the lineup speaks otherwise.
Bringing entrepreneurial sparkle and investor energy, the eminent speakers who will be delivering talks on a multitude of topics this E-Summit include Mr. Shiv Khera , Droom And Shopclues founder Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, Rediff CEO Ajit Balakrishnan, Mr. Radhakrishnan Pillai (author, corporate Chanakaya) and Mr. Sonam Wangchuk,to name a few.
If anything, one wouldn’t miss this year’s E-Summit merely for a chance to interact with these successful personalities.
Apart from the stellar line up of speakers, there are many more exciting events happening at the summit, which not only reinforce the spirit and zeal of entrepreneurship, but also provide a fun-filled enriching experience to the attendees.

Impiego,the Job and Internship Fair which is open to all college students of IIT Delhi and aims at connecting start-up enthusiast graduates/undergraduates to the start-ups so that they get the relevant experience in their desired field,
the Start-up Expo,which provides a platform for innovative start-ups from all over the country to get in touch with thousands of potential customers and investors while attendees learn the technique of what made a start-up so big.
Startup Crossfire involves industry experts in intense mentoring sessions pertaining to the startup ecosystem and also a platform to promote intra-networking and the Investor’s Perspective.
Entrepreneurs can match skills at “Pitch It”, the B Plan competition and the Case Study which have already created quite a buzz. These events are aimed at encouraging start-up ideas from all age groups.
This Entrepreneurship Summit brings together the nation’s nonpareil speakers on innovation and the leading Indian innovators themselves. The conclave, featuring global speakers, is not only an amalgamation of a plethora of Innovations that arose because a problem needed to be solved but also which has strong growth potential across various levels.
