The third wave of the COVID-19 virus may very well be on its way as we still ready ourselves to penetrate out of the stagnancy the Second Wave heralded. The Government had announced its lingering predicament concerning the coronavirus owing to its terrific rate of virility.
Almost all states have gone on their backfoot owing to the rate at which the virus has been mutating since the second wave. The situation, as most have stated, is only getting dire.
Hence, in these troubling times, we have often found ourselves wanting to be done with the general tedium of our day-to-day lives. More often than not, if I may admit, I have found staring at walls to be the zenith of excitement reached on a particular day, hearkens me back to school.
You may have faced the same violence of the daily monotony of our lives during the pandemic, however, you do not have to worry because here are a few things that you can do to keep boredom at bay.
Board Games Will Always Be An Answer
Do you remember the times you spent devising strategies to help to conjure up new ways to evade your taxes and committing loan fraud in Monopoly?
If you didn’t then you must be a real God’s child. You might be Jesus himself for all I know but I digress. How would it feel to relive the moment of thrill as you bypass your mortgage payment again? It is exhilarating, to say the least.
And, it might be time for you to revel in the same feeling of victory as you celebrate your glorious victories. Be it Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, or Clue, the exhilaration will always be the same.
No matter how many folks tell you that these games require no skill, tell them that you have known more about life from Monopoly than school. Tax evasion is a skill, right? Either way, what are you waiting for? Get started with it.

Instruments Will Be Your Ticket To Paradise
Instruments, in all honesty, are the closest you will ever get to heaven in whatever shape or form. No amount of knowledge in the world of instruments will ever fail to surprise you for it’s an ever-changing field with no hard and fast rule.
You can elect to jam to your favorite songs or delve into the depths of the particular instrument, learning the practical alongside the theoretical.
Starting from guitar to piano to just a clay pot, the musical world is your oyster and all of them have the ability to create magic. A ukulele is possibly the simplest to pick up however, it must be stated that most instruments are easy to pick up but a tad difficult to master.
Unless, of course, you choose to play the flute while being a chain smoker. Jokes aside, music will open a portal to a different realm and if you love music then this is the way to go. You might get to play Wonderwall at your college fest one of these days when you pick an instrument up.
Writing Is An Interesting Gateway To A Different World
There have been instances in our life when we have watched a movie or read a book that has ignited the creative juices in our minds and made us feel inspired to the point of concocting our own stories.
These stories more often than not stay as half-finished parchments of paper on our study table or stay as fully visualized stories in our minds themselves. It may have happened that a passing gust of creativity has nudged you to finish that story but it never came to pass.
If this hypothesis matches your dilemma then you are in luck for there is no better way to defeat your boredom than to get lost into a world of your creation and concoct a story out of it.
Go crazy, write a detective noir or a fantastical fan fiction if that’s your cup of tea, but write. Your creations deserve the respect of materializing and you have the power to do it. Who’s to say that the person reading this won’t turn into the next Stephen King or a George R.R. Martin?
There are numerous other things one could indulge in and that’s when you let your creative juices flow. Only you can understand how to overpower your boredom and these are mere suggestions.
Here’s hoping for a better world but until then let yourself loose and make the best of what life throws at you. As they say, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
