We all have heard about that one perfect murder, haven’t we? The one where no one finds out the murderer and the assailant facilely gets away with their exceptional brilliance and murderous acumen.
But now, with advanced technology and widespread technical know-how, nothing is actually out of reach. And you don’t have to plan for years and toil for months before you execute The Perfect Murder like Paul and Henry in Stacy Aumonier’s novel.
But where would you put someone who used COVID-19 as an opportunity to kill a man in this hierarchy of creativity and craftiness?
Who Tried To Kill Who?
This shocking incident took place in Turkey’s Adana, where a man tried to kill his boss with the coronavirus during this ongoing pandemic.
The police authorities of Adana city were in shock and awe when a car dealership owner, Ibrahim Urvendi, filed a criminal complaint against one of his employees on account of murder charges. The awful part of the grievance was the way Ibrahim encountered a near-to-death situation.
He claimed that his employee allegedly tried to kill him by spiking his drink with saliva that he had bought from a COVID-19 patient.

Why Did The Employee Want To Kill His Boss?
Yes, you guessed it right— the good old feud over money. Urvendi stated that on the morning of the incident, the accused was supposed to take the 215,000 Turkish Lira (around ₹ 20 lakhs) to the office, obtained from a successful car dealership.
Instead of doing that, this three-year employee of Mr. Unverdi stole the money. He gave an excuse that he needed to repay a loan shark when the owner reached him on his mobile the next day after several calls.
While talking to LADbible, the victim stated that the worker had spiked his drink before stealing the money. Urvendi had later learned from his other employee— that the accused had bought saliva of a COVID-19 patient for 500 Turkish Lira and mixed it with his employer’s drink. The car dealership owner said that he was lucky enough that he did not have that drink.
Ibrahim Urvendi further added that once the matter was disclosed to the press, he started getting threats from the absconding assailant.
Therefore, he has demanded police protection. He even showed the media one of the messages that read, “I could not kill you with the virus. I will shoot you in the head next time.”
Both the police authorities and the victim are taken aback by this unimaginable way of killing someone. The silver lining is that Urvendi is fine, and the employee has been accused of making criminal threats and attempt to murder.
So you know, a note of caution— check once before you have your next drink!
