It has been almost 10 months since the world has been submerged in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originating from Wuhan in China, the pandemic had been brewing since December of last year, staying limited to China and a few European and other countries till February before it took off into a run and spread within a matter of weeks across the entire world.
Since the time news reports came out with the origins of this virus, where and how it came about, people have had multiple conspiracies.
One of them was that the virus was created intentionally by China and spread across the world for some reason or another. Till yet, there was little actual proof of this claim, however, Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan, in a shocking interview, has claimed that the theory is true, at least in part.
What Has The Chinese Virologist Claimed?
In a recent interview on British talk show “Loose Women”, Dr Li-Meng, speaking from an unknown location, spoke about her research into the coronavirus and the challenges she’s had to face so far.

As per her statements in the interview, it seems to be alleged that the Chinese government were intentionally working on the coronavirus and that it was not something to come out of natural causes.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan stated that, “The seafood market in Wuhan and all the intermediate hosts, these are the smokescreen and this virus is not from nature. This is based on the China Military Institute that discovered and owned some bad coronavirus named CC45 and ZXC41. Based on that, after lab modification becomes a novel virus.”
In the interview, she spoke about how she was given the task of researching into the group of cases that were coming from mainland China resembling SARS-like cases.
However, during her research, she found out that the virus was being covered up by officials and that the Chinese government had known about the human-to-human spread of the virus before they finally acknowledged it to the larger public.
Dr. Li-Meng, a specialist in virology and immunology from the Hong Kong School of Public Health, eventually had to go into hiding and run away to the United States due to security reasons.
The virologist now claims that she will soon be publishing a report that she had been making since January while she was still in Hong Kong and working on research of the virus.
She said, “We are going to publish it. There are two reports, the first one will come in several days and it will tell people about the scientific evidence.”
She, along with a few other top and notable scientists, have worked on this report. Talking about her report, the virologist also said that, “The genome sequence is like our human fingerprint. So, based on this you can recognise and identify this thing. So, I used the evidence existing in the genome sequence of Sars-CoV-2 to tell people why this came from China, why they are the only one who made it.”
She also stated how important this report is as “I will [use this] evidence to tell people why this has come from the lab in China, why they are the ones who made it,” and further added that “Anyone, even if you have no biology knowledge, will be able to read it. You can check, identify and verify it by yourself. It is the critical thing for us to know the origins of the virus. If not, it will be life threatening for everyone.”
