Celebrities and influencers have, surprisingly, come forward on social media and voiced their opinions on the current issue that has been plaguing the nation (Mostly they try to stay out of controversies).

Every time an opinion is put forward, clashes, between the ones with and the ones against, have occurred, so has the bashing of the celebrity, irrespective of their chosen side.

Farmers’ protests too, have been highlighted thanks to the celebrities who are interested in either amplifying the voices of the oppressed or have personal agenda to fulfill. Nevertheless, each comment has gained ample audience thereby giving us loads of reactions.

Some other celebrities have strongly opposed the protests and have stood by the government’s stand on the impending issue. Most of the celebrities have taken to Twitter to vocalize their points of view.

From singers to television actors, from writers to journalists, many influential public figures have come clean as to whether they support or condemn the protests. Here’s looking at some of the comments made by these personages and placing them in the appropriate box of for or against.

Stars In Support

The majority of the stars are in support of the farmers and thereby, have tried defending the protests. And criticizing the government is an unsaid rule if the protests are to be lauded.

The list goes on when celebrities in support of the issue are to be mentioned. Especially Punjabi and Sikh personages. Not to sound communal, but they are quite clear on supporting their community. The same goes for the farmers’ union leaders, most of them are just there for the unity of their community.

On top of the supporter’s list we have Diljit Dosanjh, the singer who has been in a dissing battle with Kangana Ranaut over any and every tweet regarding the same issue, and rightfully so, since Kangana tweets delusional things more often than not.

Diljit Dosanjh, in favor of the cause

He took special care in writing replies to Kangana’s tweets in Punjabi for provocation purposes only. He has been quite vocal about the sufferings of farmers and has amplified their voices on a large scale.

Next comes Sonu Sood, the man who won hearts all over the nation for helping the migration laborers reach back home amidst the lockdown. He has been especially upfront about the need of the hour that is to uplift the farmers, and has talked about their welfare whenever given a chance.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas too has come up and tried magnifying the voice of the farmers. Although from overseas, she can be exempted since her origin is not from any International land.

PC, speaking for the farmers

Veteran actor Dharmendra expressed grief over the plight of his farmer brothers in a tweet. Preity Zinta, from Los Angeles too, tweeted about the same.

Sonam Kapoor, Richa Chaddha, Sunny Deol, Gippy Grewal, Swara Bhaskar, Vir Das, Riteish Deshmukh, Rupi Kaur, Vishal Dadlani, Hansal Mehta, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, etc have openly condemned the government and come out in support of the farmers.

As for foreign involvement in the otherwise internal affair, Rihanna, Swedish teen climate activist Greta Thunberg, Meena Harris, an American lawyer and niece of US Vice President Kamala Harris, actor Amanda Cerny, singer Jay Sean, Dr. Zeus and former adult star Mia Khalifa too came into limelight after showing solidarity with the farmers’ protests.

Dignitaries Calling Protestor’s Bluff

Various other personages have talked about the ungrounded protests and asked the countrymen to not get derailed because of the blind support from their idols.

Getting severe backlash for not supporting the cause and having a different opinion has served them with bad and at times, outraged reactions from the public and other celebrities, namely, Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar.

Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, and Suniel Shetty have been among the top actors who showed solidarity towards the government and spoke against the issue of international propaganda that arose recently after international artist Rihanna and environmental activist Greta supported the protests.

Veteran actor turned politician, Hema Malini too, stood in favor of the government and against her own family that has been supporting the cause for a long time now. She said that the nation will not be compromised nor will be given into the hands of foreign forces.

Hema Malini, urging the people to believe in their nation

Kangana Ranaut too has received severe criticism for almost every tweet of hers. But not going to lie, she had it coming.

Keeping aside this one personality who has spoken against the cause quite loud, and with more than the daily quota of abuse one can handle online we have Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Anil Kumble, Chetan Bhagat, Lata Mangeshkar, and a few more renowned personalities who not only received retaliation but also became meme materials overnight.

Chetan Bhagat, advocating against the protests

Lata Mangeshkar Ji and her solidarity towards the govt

All because they were advocating against the attack on India’s sovereignty and asking people to beware of the intentions of the external forces in ruining India’s unity.

Sadhguru in his recent tweet politely requested the personalities to not meddle with India’s internal affairs and that India is well equipped to handle its issues. He has, fortunately, not been abused for thinking differently than the masses as of yet.

Was This Pre-Planned?

Whether this was pre-planned or not has been the talk of the nation the past few days, and both sides are going strong.

With information overload, shreds of evidence suggest that the whole cause has shifted from being for the welfare of the farmers to being sidelined for personal propaganda and political benefits.

The meddling of foreign stars seems a bit extra as per the ones advocating against the protests but then again, a global crisis is what we are talking about here.

No side seems right or wrong, but the clash in opinions and intolerance to accept or even see another POV (point-of-view) is what has caused maximum unrest.

  1. Indian weasels and cowards pick on the “ex-porn star status”, of Mia Khalifa. This is the Indian DNA.Mia has evolved over time and has followed her conscience to become a singer and an activist.

This is EVOLUTION of the conscience ! dindooohindoo

Let us compare MIA with the Harlot Seeta – who is the mother of the Hindoos !

Ravana dressed as a Brahmin meets Seeta Maiya for the 1st time ! How does he address her ?

This is proof that Seeta was Nepali Whore with Nil IQ who got no sexual or romantic attention from Limpdick Rama ! Is this the way a Brahmin talks ? I present “Romancing the Stone” Ravana style !
