The real talent of an individual is witnessed at a very young age. Dewayne who is widely known by his stage name WayneOnABeat is a record producer who zeroed out his passion for music during middle school. Getting his hands on xylophone during school, the artist learnt alto saxophone in high school and has been enjoying the essence of music since then. However, he always had a curiosity to create music of his own.
Being a computer science student, his life was all around computers. It was during college Dewayne saw one of his classmates using a tool called FL studio which left him impressed. Once he got a hold of the software, he started posting his instrumentals on MySpace in 2008. The year saw the producer begin his career he posted music on various other platforms like SoundClick and ReverbNation.
Today the 32-year old record producer is creating music instrumentals online which has seen him collaborating with many global artists like Polo G, YFN Lucci, Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, YK Osiris, Jelly Roll, Lightshow, Skitzkraven, Caskey, Steven Cannon, Lil Xan, among others. Dewayne’s endless love for music has changed the game for good and he has built a production team called ‘Street Empire’ which comprises of Louie Montana, Vontae Thomas and himself.
Cherishing the good old memories, the music producer said, “We initially met on Facebook where I hosted a live chat on a tool called Tiny Chat. Many producers joined and I critiqued their instrumentals and got an opportunity to play some of my own. It was indeed the start of my career to something extraordinary.” Dewayne further revealed that those days helped him build a strong network of music producers from across the globe.
Besides this, WayneOnABeat is always accompanied by Louie and Vontae who have been working closely since 2012. Till date, the trio has have more than 20,000,000 plays on their website and as a team they have their association with Chris Brown, Logic, Lil Durk, Tee Grizzley, Wale, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Jaquese, IDK and many other reputed names.
