Kandovan is an unusual ancient village in east Azarbaijan, near the city of Tabriz, Iran. This village is famous for its majestic rocky houses. These houses are a result of many volcanic eruptions. These rocky architectures look like nests or hives.
The village is registered on Iran’s National Heritage List and has a global reputation for being the only rocky village in the world that is still inhabited.
