And this phenomenon is not only visible in India, but in other countries as well. K-Pop (Korean pop music) and K-Drama (Korean drama serials) are gaining popularity all around the world.

K-Dramas are mostly confined to a limited number of episodes having a storyline worth appreciating. With the blend of drama, thrill and romance, these shows spellbind the viewers and that’s the reason why we love them and watch them again and again.

So, irrespective of you being a K-Drama fan or not, you should watch these five shows and I bet on it, you would love them all.

With an IMDb rating of 8.1, Boys Over Flowers is a popular K-Drama. It is a story of an ordinary girl from a humble background and a group of rich boys in the Shin Hwa High School.

The head of this group bullies the girl but later falls for her. It is a love triangle between the girl, the head of the F4 group and his best friend.

2. Heirs

A love story between a rich spoiled lad and a sweet girl from a humble background

If you like love stories, you are sure to like this one. The story revolves around a bunch of rich heirs led by Kim Tan and Cha Eun-Sang, whose mother works as a housekeeper for a rich family. The story takes a sharp turn when Kim Tan gets attracted to Eun-Sang.

The breathtaking looks of Lee-Min Ho as Kim Tan are sure to make you fall in love with him.

3. Descendents Of the Sun

The love story of a doctor and an army man and their struggles in the battlefield and in times of peace

My personal favourite, this serial is sure to make you fall for K-Drama. A love story between Captain Yoo Shi Jin played by Song Joong Ki and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon played by Song Hye Kyo, it shows the struggle of a doctor and an army man in situations of war and peace.

The drama released in 2016 has an IMDb 8.5 rating and received a lot of love all around the world. People loved the chemistry between “Song-Song couple” and maybe the actors also got influenced by the same since they ended up getting married to one another in 2017.

4. Full House

A popular romantic-comedy of 2004 teaches the true meaning of love and family

Being one of the most famous K-Dramas in the early 2000s, it tried to find answers to the question of can people belonging to two different social strata fall in love being in a namesake marriage. The show is a perfect blend of comedy, romance and drama.

With an 8 IMDb rating, this Rom-Com series saw great success in Asian countries, so much so that 6 countries remade it.

5. My Love From The Stars

Things take an interesting turn when an alien falls for a beautiful but clumsy actress

Do Min Joon, portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun is an alien who landed on Earth 400 years ago during the Joseon Dynasty period. Things get interesting when he falls in love with a beautiful but quirky and clumsy actress Cheon Song Yi, played by Jun Ji Hyun.

This love story, with an 8.4 IMDb rating, showcases the power of love and how it can make people overcome all hindrances.
