‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, was released on December 1, 2023. It had already created a stir with its trailer where one of Rashmika’s dialogue was incomprehensible, giving the memers great content.
Songs play a key role in attracting people to watch a movie. And that’s what happened with this film as well, with Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh winning people’s hearts.
However, the reactions to this movie were like no other. A plethora of people were outraged by the concepts portrayed in the film. Not that Bollywood has never shown anything similar before, but ‘Animal’ created fresh new controversies.
The director of the movie, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s earlier statements during Kabir Singh promotion era came back when in one of his interviews he said “If you can’t slap, if you can’t touch your woman wherever you want, you can’t kiss, you can’t use curse words then I don’t see emotions there.”
This added fuel to the fire, as he has also directed other such films, like Kabir Singh, which also, kind of, disturbed people, as it too, demonstrated toxic masculinity.
Despite these reactions, the movie turned out to be a blockbuster. So, we ask Gen Z about their opinion on this movie.
