External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar has been in the news recently after he made some remarks calling out Western media and their interest in the ongoing Indian elections. The Lok Sabha elections are one of the biggest elections taking place in the world currently and are being carried out in seven phases that will form the next government.

In the midst of this, the EAM called out Western media and how they are criticizing the Indian democracy and how they think they are actual political players in our election which is a misunderstanding they have.

Speaking at a forum for nationalist thinkers in Hyderabad on Tuesday, the minister brought up how a report by a Western media house questioned why the Indian elections were being held during such hot weather.

This is not the first time Jaishankar has been in the limelight for his remarks, recently he has been covered a lot for his statements especially targeting Western countries.

He also called out Western dominance and double standards during the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Along with that he also made strong statements about the attacks made at the diplomatic premises in London, San Francisco and Ottawa, and other cities.
