With 2013 coming to a close, ED brings you the A to Z of the year’s fashion news.

A – Anna Wintour appointed Creative Director of Conde Nast.

B –Balenciaga appoints Alexander Wang as Creative Director, and the fashion world applauds his debut.

C – Coco Rocha cuts her hair short and live tweets the entire process.

D – Dolce and Gabbana get sentenced to prison for tax evasion, leaving the fashion fraternity shocked.

E – Eva Chen is appointed the editor in chief of Lucky by Anna Wintour.

F – Feathers rule runways in fall/winter shows.

G – Glittering gold wows audiences at the Dolce and Gabbana show.

H – Hermes releases a scarf tying app, in case you don’t know the proper way of wearing their pretty scarves.

I – Instagram becomes the fashion fraternity’s favourite social platform, with models and designers all taking a shine to it.

J- Jennifer Lawrence wows us again, cuts her hair in a pixie.

K – Karlie Kloss rules the year, keeps short hair alive at Victoria’s secret fashion show.

L -London, Moschino, Paco Robanne, Mcqueen and Tommy Hilfiger tapped into the spirit of the English capital in their shows.

M -Marc Jacobs leaves Louis Vuitton after sixteen years, his last show receives a standing ovation from Anna Wintour.

N -Naomi Campbell supports Diversity Coalition’s campaign to increase racial diversity on the ramp.

O- Orlando bloom and fashion supermodel Miranda Kerr separate.

P-Pixie trend takes over, and more and more women from the fashion and glamour industry embrace it.

Q- Queen Elizabeth welcomes the fourth generation of the royal family as fashion’s favourite muse, Kate Middleton becomes mother.

R- Rihanna launches her collection for River Island at LFW.

S – ‘Selfie’ becomes the word of the year, and the fashion industry is surely the culprit.

T – Tom Ford returns to the ramp with London fashion week at one of the most glamorous shows held at Lancaster House.

U – Under wraps and stoles steal the shows.

V- ‘Viral’ was the word this year, as many shows like Burberry live streamed their shows.

W- Winters got a makeover this year as the fall/winter fashion weeks showcased trends one would usually associate with spring, be it pinks, florals or bright colours.

X – X vs Y dressing takes over the ramp as designers flirt with ambiguity between the masculine and feminine.

Y – Yesteryears make a comeback on the ramps, with shows like Balenciaga paying an ode to the past. Reinvention was no doubt the flavour of the year.

Z – zzz’s  ruled the ramps at Louis Vuitton as pyjamas were seen at abundance. Casual and laidback was the vibe.
