Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd Announces Addition of 77 more 108 Ambulances in Punjab by Dec 2020

Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd (ZHL) Asia’s largest emergency medical service provider company has successfully served more than 2 million people in the state. The company started its operation in Punjab in the year 2011, with 242no of ambulances. The Punjab Government is currently in the process of adding 77 new Ambulances to its 242 strong fleet currently, which will take the number up to 319.

32 Ambulances in this phase have been launched by the Honorable Health Minister-Shri. Balbir Singh Sidhu and MD – PHSC In August 2020. All the Ambulances are going to be Swaraj Mazda BVI vehicle, produced in Punjab. The Ambulances will be launched across 22 districts by December 2020. Ziqitza aims to reduce the number of fatalities caused due to accidents by providing timely emergency medical help to the people within the golden hour.

Dial 108 provides emergency health care services to the people of the state in case of any emergencies like accidents, heart attacks, stroke, or any other any medical emergencies. This service can be availed by calling 108 a Toll-Free number which is accessible from any landline or mobile. 108 Control and Dispatch Centre (CDC) is set-up in Amritsar to handle all the emergency medical calls. All the Ambulances are equipped with GPS technology which enables the CDC to locate the ambulances in shortest possible time. And the most important fact is that this world class service is ABSOLUTELY FREE for the people. Dial 108 service has been truly instrumental in providing quality pre-hospital care work closely with the state government to ensure timely assistance through our EMS service.
