Rave parties are known for having various substances of an illegal nature, but the commonly known ones are marijuana, heavy uses of alcohol and other drugs that are not legal.

Reports of police raiding such rave parties often bring out what strange things were being circulated there, however, the latest development in the Elvish Yadav snake venom-rave party case has claimed that snake venom was being distributed in one of his rave parties.

In a fresh breakthrough, the police have revealed that the forensic investigation of the samples taken from the party shows the use of snake venom like cobra and krait species. But how is this party and snake venom connected with Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber and the winner of the Bigg Boss OTT season 2?

What Is The Connection?

In November 2023, Uttar Pradesh’s Noida Police raided a rave party where allegedly among the attendees was Elvish Yadav. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner was accused of not only attending the party but allegations also rose that he had a hand in supplying and usage of the snake venom.

The raid had been carried out after an NGO complained to the police alleging that a group was selling and supplying snake venom for people to use as a form of intoxication.

On November 3, 2023, six people, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, were booked under provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and IPC Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) for allegedly supplying snake venom for a suspected rave party held at a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51.

Out of the six, five men were arrested and the 26-year-old was named in the FIR, however, he refuted all charges and instead brought up Bollywood singer Fazilpuria claiming that it was the singer who arranged the snakes seen in his videos.

The police seized 20 ml of snake venom, nine snakes, including 5 cobras, one python, 2 two-headed snakes and a rat snake from the party and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Jaipur has confirmed that ‘krait venom’ was found in the samples sent.

An officer speaking with PTI said, “The results of the forensic reports of the sample have confirmed that the substances found from the party spot were indeed venom of cobra and krait species of snakes as was suspected initially in the case.”

According to the veterinary department, all of the nine snakes rescued were also found to be missing their venom glands including the cobras. Dr Nikhil Varshney, leading the probe committee, told PTI “Also, teeth were missing in eight of the nine snakes that were rescued.”

Elvish’s connection comes from the statements from Rahul Yadav, one of the suppliers arrested in connection with the party where they claimed to have provided snakes for rave parties organised by Elvish Yadav. Yadav on the other hand has dismissed the charges as “baseless” and “fake”.
