As Martin Guptill produced a moment of genius to run MS Dhoni out in the World Cup semi-final, a billion hearts were left broken. After a brilliant run in the league stages, India were knocked out in a dissapointing fashion.
Indian captain Virat Kohli echoed the sentiments of the fans.
“Always feels bad when you play well all tournament and then 45 minutes of bad cricket puts you out. New Zealand deserve it, they put us under more pressure,” Kohli said.
The question that now needs to be asked is this: What next for Team India? Now that the World Cup, a tournament that India and as a matter of fact every country has been preparing for for years now, is done and dusted.

It wasn’t an absolute disaster for India. As mentioned earlier, they were really good in the league stages. It was only in the knockout match that the top-order collapsed and India went out of the tournament.
