Watch: Funny Rangolis That Left A Smile On Our Face

Diwali has always had a vibe about two things, crackers and rangolis. With the government limiting the use of crackers, the rangolis saw a boom in their creativity.

The origin of this art can be traced to the Puranas. The word “Rangoli” means a row of colours. The tradition of Rangoli originated in Maharastra and was slowly disseminated to other parts of India.

It is thought to bring good luck, prosperity to the house and in the family, and to welcome guests. Some families in India do this activity every morning, or on a special festive occasion like Diwali, Onam, and Pongal, but the creative wildlife is only seen on Diwali.
