While the world is sinking deep in worries and fears regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, Indians are having the time of their life.
Netizens are taking a walk down the memory lane as the first episode of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan aired on Doordarshan this Saturday morning.
Nineties’ Mahabharat also made a comeback on the channel, later in the afternoon.
People are expressing their joy and gratitude over the fact that the entire family unites at 9 pm to watch the show while conversations regarding box TVs and antennas have gained momentum. Twitterati did not spare Sonakshi Sinha as she had once incorrectly answered a Ramayan question on Kaun Banega Crorepati. She thought her bad days were behind her but little did she know that her name would trend again.

Circus, which hit the screens in 1989 starring Shah Rukh has also returned. Shahrukh Khan debuted on this show after which his career skyrocketed.
Amidst the lockdown, the news of re-run came as a boon for the nineties’ kids and people were seen thanking the government. Parents are making their kids watch the shows in the hopes that they will imbibe some knowledge of Indian mythology. The only person who seems disappointed by this decision is Sonakshi Sinha as she is being targeted by memers again.
However, the meme fest did bring happiness and laughter back in our dull lives and proved to be the much-needed distraction from the negative news all over the Internet.
