It’s The Mean Thief v/s The Superhero!

And the much awaited battle finally begins..the battle between the The Perfectionist and The Greek God, which has been garnering passionate affirmations ad fuelling heated debates for the past one year now. Two of Bollywood’s best, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan lock horns on screen with their respective movies, Krrishh 3 and Dhoom 3 vying to be Bollywood’s biggest hit till date, the former being released around Diwali and the latter around Christmas. The producers have made a very smart move by NOT choosing the same period for releasing the two movies, as the competition would have been way too intense and might have led to an overall decrease in profits somewhere down the line. This way Krrish 3 has a good one month window period before the atmosphere gets heated up again with the release of Dhoom 3. In the words of Hrithik himself, “Krrish 3 has been my most ambitious project till date. It’s a do-or-die situation now!” The first trailer video for this movie was published by the film makers on their official YouTube channel on 5 August 2013. It received more than 2.3 million views on Youtube within the very first day of release and currently has more than 1.3 crores views!! The hype says it all. Some may ask, is there even a point discussing about Dhoom 3? I say, Hell Yeah! How can we even forget whom we are talking about here…It’s The Aamir Khan, who plays the baddie in the movie, which is the first negative role in his career spanning over 29 years! And knowing the perfectionist that he is, one sure won’t be able to take his eyes off him or so we hope! Khan never leaves any stone unturned and this time is no exception. Khan reportedly learnt Ballet, Aerobatics] and French technique of Parkour, a method of movement focused on negotiating obstacles with speed and efficiency, for essaying the role to the best of his abilities. Only the motion poster has been released on Youtube as of now, and has already amassed over 23lakh views within a week! What makes The Clash Of The Titans even more interesting is the fact that Aamir Khan, in spite of being a senior will have a tougher job at hand. He won’t just be competing with Hrithik’s Krrish 3 but also Hrithik’s Dhoom 2! I call it Hrithik’s Dhoom 2 as I personally could not see anything beyond him and he gave the movie a cult status and vice versa. He has been called India’s sexiest villain, one who completely overshadowed the lead and Aamir will have a difficult time filling his shoes. Hrithik as the antagonist had set very high standards and whether Aamir as his successor, manages to leave a mark or not is what remains to be seen. Seems like the audiences have a feast lined up for them..anyone complaining?
