The Lok Sabha on Tuesday, 8th August 2023, finally took up the no-confidence motion put forward by the Congress and opposition parties.

The motion moved by the Opposition side consisting of I.N.D.I.A (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) had been accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birl last week.

The session that was adjourned just 12 minutes after it started because of a ruckus created by members of the session was reported to be around for 12 hours with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) being given 6 hours and 41 minutes to speak their side while Congress party was allotted around 1 hour and 15 minutes to put forward their points.

The entire session will actually be stretched across 2 days that is August 8th and 9th and Congress Leader Gaurav Gogoi started the debate officially.
