Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Finance Minister of Assam today presented the first e-budget of the state. It was presented in an electronic format and all the legislators were provided the details on a tablet.

Andhra Pradesh had earlier become the first state to present an e-budget. However, it was only limited to the legislators. The budget of Assam is available on the public domain as well through Twitter, Facebook, and a Google app.

The budget was formulated within the 3 stands of EKATRIKARAN– consolidation of policies undertaken in the last 2 years, XOMPROXARON– the expansion of some existing programmes and UTTORON– raising the standards of pursuance.
