India’s post-partition history has been rocky, with millions of deaths during the actual partition casting a dense pall over any activities that we undertook as a nation.
Not to mention the entire Kashmir situation that has caused multiple wars and has led to a less than comfortable situation with the neighbours.
But what many people tend to forget is the volatility that existed and still exists in the North-Eastern states.

Due to issues with the Indian government as well as ethnic disputes, many insurgencies came to exist. The oldest of which is coming to an end soon.
