The Unforgettable Behrupiya: Ashraful Haque, 45, rests in peace.

Bollywood lost a piece of its sunshine last day, as ‘Fukrey’ Actor Ashraful Haque breathed his final at Sunita Hospital, Andheri – Mumbai.

Haque was suffering from a rare bone marrow cancer, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, for the past two years and underwent severe medical treatment.
He hailed from Assam and had gone to National School of Drama, New Delhi, wherefrom he graduated in Dramatics with specialisation in acting.

Having acted for the last time in a television commercial for a soft drink. he is famous for his roles in “Fukrey” and “Traffic Signal” and had also appeared with substantial roles in movies such as ‘Company’, ‘Jungle’, ‘Ravan’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Black Friday’, ‘Delhi Belly’ and many others. His route to Bollywood was filled with theatre and works with renowned playwrights including Ram Gopal Bajaj.

In 2013, he played the lead role in the national-award winning movie, “The Lost Behrupiya”. All in all, he had acted in more than 30 plays and 30 movies.
Ashraful Haque is survived by his wife and a 9 year old son.

The news of his sudden sad demise attracted condolences from all over bollywood and the entertainment industry. In his condolences, Haque’s close friend and Director, Anurag Kashyap was reported to have stated that their precise priority now would be to take care of the late actor ‘s wife and son.
