Apple was formerly famed for its bizarre experiments and creative goods, which were frequently released years ahead of their time. The Cupertino-based tech giant has found its identity in PCs, laptops, and iPhones since the 1990s, and it has abstained from venturing outside of its comfort zone since then.

When it launched its first Polishing Cloth last year, that changed. And, in keeping with the trend, it has now released the Apple Smart Water bottle. So, what smart characteristics is it supposed to have? Let’s find out!

What Is A Smart Water Bottle?

A smart water bottle looks like any ordinary water bottle, maybe just an expensive one. It is the technology that goes behind the making that makes it different from ordinary ones.

This technology correctly detects how much water you drink, which your water bottle may subsequently communicate to your water-tracking app. You can track your daily, weekly, and monthly progress once you’ve downloaded the app.

How Does It Work?

The majority of Smart Water Bottles employ software to connect your bottle to a smartphone app. A phone app can usually track how much water you’ve consumed, your daily ounce targets, and how many ounces you have left to drink at a basic level.

The bottles communicate with the HidrateSpark App through Bluetooth to track water intake. The bottles by Apple compute and adopt a personalized hydration goal based on the user’s physique and activity level, according to the business. The sensor puck records how many ounces or milliliters a user drinks using the app on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

The HidrateSpark app can access Apple Health users’ personal information and step data after they register an account, which it utilizes to optimize your daily hydration target. Every sip the app captures is also sent to Apple Health, allowing users to access all of their data in one spot.

An accelerometer is one of the most commonly utilized technologies. Due to gravitational pull/acceleration, an accelerometer can detect when you tip your water bottle to take a sip of water. It can also detect when you return your water bottle to its original position after drinking.

If you don’t drink from your Smart Water Bottle for an extended length of time, your water bottle will alert you to drink. This might be accomplished by your bottle providing a signal through LEDs. To gently remind you to drink your water, the lid or the body of the bottle may light up. If subtle light reminders aren’t enough to remind you to drink, your hydration bottle may alert you with various sounds or vibrations.

The water bottle syncs with the Water.io app, which can track daily hydration patterns, build a personalized hydration profile, and share material with peers to stay inspired.

Why Do You Need One?

The ability to view your daily progress and how much more water you need to drink to meet your daily water intake goal is used as motivation to keep drinking. This is why some Smart Water Bottle consumers value excellent software and apps. It makes you accountable for your hydration goals and keeps you on track.

Some of these smart Bottles also have the capacity to connect with fitness applications and trackers such as FitBit, Garmin, Amazon Echo, Apple Watch, and others. Most apps or devices currently allow you to keep track of your water intake.

For many folks, though, having the opportunity to extract more advanced data from your Smart Water Bottle and combine it with a fitness app or tracker is a terrific alternative. It gives you a more precise view of your daily water consumption. This function may be especially useful if you participate in sports, go to the gym, or run.

This Smart Water Bottle has a unique characteristic in that it can detect its surroundings, such as the temperature and if it is nighttime or dark outdoors. It can also keep your water cool for 24 hours.

You must also increase your water intake throughout the summer months when the weather is hot and humid to stay properly hydrated. You’ll get more accurate information about how much water you need to drink if you use a Smart Water Bottle and an app that can detect these metrics.

They help improve hydration, health, and your overall quality of life.

Pricing And Specifications

The HidrateSpark is stylish, comes in six vibrant hues, and has all of the features you’d expect from a high-tech water bottle. Made of stainless steel, the HidrateSpark PRO STEEL is available in silver or black and costs $79.95 which is close enough to ₹6,129 in India.

The HidrateSpark PRO, which costs $59.95 (roughly ₹4,600), is made of shatterproof and odor-resistant Tritan plastic – green and black being its two color options.

Now while a starting price of ₹ 4,600) for a water bottle might sound astounding, remember how the Apple Polishing Cloth was priced at ₹1,900 and how Apple products are priced exorbitantly high by default. Especially in the age of covid where health has become a matter of major concern, it is for you to decide whether it is worth the price.
