The rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool is world-famous.

Players of both teams give extra effort when they meet each other. Therefore, soccer fans always get to see a great sporting spectacle when the two sides play against each other.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool is looking good this season, despite having an uneventful summer transfer window. They are currently a point behind league leaders Chelsea in second place while defending champions Manchester City are a point below them. The Reds claimed an emphatic 5-0 victory over Watford in their last Premier League match, while they also emerged victorious against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are not performing according to expectations, even though they signed some high-quality players in the summer.

The Red Devils are currently winless in their last three league matches.

They suffered a 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa and also failed to take full points against Everton. While in their previous Premier League encounter, Leicester City defeated those 4-2.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is unlikely to be meek opponents next weekend when they will lock horns with Liverpool, not after their latest 3-2 victory over Atalanta. The Old Trafford encounter is expected to be highly entertaining and soccer enthusiasts are already making their preparations by availing the betjungle promo code.

1- Manchester United 1 Liverpool 4 (2009)

This was one of the finest performances of Liverpool at the Theatre of Dreams. Manchester United looked on course for a victory when Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the spot midway through the first half. But Fernando Torres managed to equalize soon before Steven Gerrard grabbed the lead by scoring the penalty after he had been upended by Patrice Evra.

Then, Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena also added goals in the second half to complete the rout.

2- Manchester United 2 Liverpool 1 (1999)

Manchester United claimed many memorable victories during their treble-winning season. One of them came in the fourth-round FA Cup against Liverpool.

After Michael Owen’s early strike, the Reds looked in control for the majority of the game. However, Dwight Yorke and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored two late goals to win the contest 2-1.

3- Manchester United 3 Liverpool 2 (2010)

This was one of the best performances of Dimitar Berbatov for Manchester United. The Bulgarian striker scored an incredible hat-trick to claim a memorable victory for the Red Devils.

Steven Gerrard seemed to rescue a point by striking twice in the second half, but United had the last laugh as Berbatov headed home John O’Shea’s cross with six minutes remaining in the match.

Manchester United matches have become more interesting ever since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Old Trafford again. And even though you might be a Messi fan and obsessed with reading everything related to the Argentine, even Messi autism, you will be forced to admit that Ronaldo is also a world-class player who is a joy to watch on the football pitch.
