New Delhi (India), March 3: Vandita Jain, a student of Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, founded the initiative Samanya – Equality Beyond the Binary in the year 2019 with an aim to uplift the marginalized genders of the LGBTQIA+ community. These individuals faced bullying and violence in schools and therefore dropped out at an early age. In an effort to make them self-reliant, she held regular classes in HTML, CSS, and Javascript for them to learn important IT and tech skills.

She also held life skills workshops for them to sharpen their skills in areas such as personal finance and communication. It is due to her vision and efforts that many of these individuals could re-enroll in the educational system and access gainful employment. Vandita’s initiative has provided them with a sense of safety and inclusivity in an educational setting, and they can now proudly accept and showcase their own identity. With great empathy, she held their hands and became their voice.

Her life-skilling workshops have not only given them practical knowledge but also helped them to accept and showcase their identity with pride.

Jain’s collaboration with the volunteers of the Delhi State Council Of Women on gender sensitization projects has been exemplary. Her efforts to empower the LGBTQIA+ community have not gone unnoticed. Through her organizational and leadership skills, she has created a more inclusive future for the community.

Jain’s initiative is a reminder that change is possible if we have the courage to step forward and make a difference. It is a testament to the fact that empathy and inclusiveness can create a positive impact on people’s lives. Jain’s efforts have brought hope to the marginalized genders of the LGBTQIA+ community, and her story should inspire others to follow in her footsteps.

In conclusion, Vandita Jain’s initiative, Samanya – Equality Beyond the Binary, has been a game-changer for the LGBTQIA+ community. Her efforts have empowered high school drop-outs, given them a sense of belonging and purpose, and helped them to accept and showcase their identity with pride. Her empathy, maturity of thought, and organizational and leadership skills have created a more inclusive future for the community. Jain’s story is an inspiration to all, and her efforts should be recognized and celebrated.
