Pigeon’s #StandbyNursingMoms campaign to support Breastfeeding Week
With the launch of its new campaign, #StandByNursingMoms to celebrate Breastfeeding Week, Pigeon aims to extend support towards nursing mothers who go through an emotional roller coaster ride and uncertainty during this phase of their lives.
Breastfeeding can be a beautiful experience for both the mother and the baby. But there comes a time in the breastfeeding journey where nursing moms go through pangs of anxiety and discomfort that arise out of this experience. While the experience might be challenging, but on the flip side, the feeling of contentment and peace it brings to the mom when her baby is well-fed is inexplicable. With adequate emotional and physical support from their loved ones and care for their child, helps feeding moms overcome these negative feelings.

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from 1 to 7 August to encourage, protect, promote, and support breastfeeding. New moms need access to private rooms at public places as well as workplace which are safe and hygienic to continue feeding, and for storing and expressing breastmilk.
