It is in times like these than man creates or discovers and in my case it was a discovery that changed my early mornings forever.
Students Haven – Aam Aadmi Pakwaan
A cozy cafe just a in North Delhi, Kamla Nagar serves food from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. Aam Aadmi Pakwaan is a recognizable name in Kamla Nagar.
Scores of students throng this place even at odd hours to hog on the yummy food served here.
What stands out about this place is the hospitality with which they take care of you so much so that you’re compelled to visit this place again.
The owner of the place serves along with the waiters. The ambiance is so chilled out that even after finishing meals I sat around for another half an hour just to absorb the fresh appeal of the place.
Restaurant these days believe that loud music creates a good ambiance. Well, its time they visited AAP.
They sometimes even sit and have chit-chat sessions with the guest to keep them entertained. The menu is as diverse as it could be, from Chinese to Indian to Mughlai everything is available here.
AAP’s popularity among students is because of various reasons. During demonetization, AAP was the only restaurent that accepted Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes. AAP is virtually very active. Zomato, dineout, Swiggy – you name it and it is there.
Being so close to the North campus, Aam Aadmi Pakwaan’s stall can be seen across all college fests be it Mecca or Tempest or Renaissance. AAP goes everywhere. AAP has its own food cult in North Delhi.
Something extremely peculiar about this cafe is its name. Our first thought is always political but relax because Arvind Kejriwal does not run this place. According to AAP’s founder, the name is symbolic of common man in India. He wants his cafe to be every Indian’s cafe. They serve Indian ( almost Indian) food at cheap prices.
Cheap and so amazing
Even after being so perfectly brilliant AAP charges pennies for the food they serve because the aim of the place is not to earn profit but to get people to eat and hence its so affordable!
A trip to North Campus is definitely incomplete without a stopover at AAP which is every student’s (or not) favorite place to eat.
