Robert Wilson Director of Fomo Model has lost of experience managing expectations of high profile celebrities. Whilst working at Elite Models he looked after Kendal Jenner when she was in town and persuaded Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon singer Lily Allen to sign with the agency. Before he found fashion Robert worked in television where he assisted comedian Russell Brand when he was presenting Big Brother’s Big Mouth. “He is lovely kind man who always had my back”. He was so funny and made me laugh so much. Every day has asked for Scandinavian iced berries and a fresh toothbrush.
I’ve never really be fazed by celebrities. When I was a teenager I was often invited to house parties at Elton Johns and George Michaels brushing shoulders with A-listers all night.
I only ever got star struck once when I had to look after Samuel L Jackson when he was a guest on Jonathan Ross. I was getting anxious about something and just before he went on air he said to me on the down-low “Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the XXX you were gonna do anyway”.
To be fair there were some days I wanted to chuck my laptop out the window and scream but I knew the experience and connections I was making were valuable and would help me later on in life. It was challenging but probably the funniest time of my career. I remember I was asked to make a dinner reservation at a London hotspot and they were fully booked so I told the reservations manager that I was booking on behalf of a Prince William and Kate so when we turned up and they had cleared the whole back area of the restaurant. I don’t think it went down to well but we both found the funny side.
Kendal Jenner was one of the sweetest loveliest girls I’d ever met. No ego, or attitude she was always grateful for my hard work.
To this day I owe my whole career to her she’s the one that told me to go solo and work for myself she even gave me a few clients to help me set up FomoModels.
