How many times have you found yourself in a situation where you had to do things despite your own will or desire in order to please somebody or to sustain a relationship or even to prevent somebody from being hurt?
What actually happens through all this?
We give away a part of our own happiness just for the sake of the happiness of somebody else. The situation becomes all the more worse if you’re a woman because conventionally women are the ones supposed to knit the family together and compromise on their own dreams for others.
I totally condemn this.
It is important to retain your own individualism and values. This is what is going to differentiate you from the crowd.
A person who cannot love his/her own self cannot love anybody else. We are responsible for our own happiness and state of mind.
People will always try to push you down but you have to stand up for yourself and prove to the world what your true worth is.
In this process, you may make mistakes, may end up on losing certain people and relationships but in the end, mistakes are bound to happen. If you haven’t made mistakes in your life, you never really have tried anything new.
People who cant respect you for who you are don’t deserve to be in your life.
The next time you do something against your wish, stop for a second and ask yourself whether you really want to do or not. Be your own master. Its high time that we stop handing over the remote controls of our own lives into somebody else’s hand.
