Cassidy Kmetz Is All The Inspiration A Girl Needs To Go Out And Live Her Best Life

-

Cassidy Kmetz works as a full-time lifestyle influencer, specializing in fitness/health-related content, as well as that of fashion and beauty. Over the past year, she has worked with over 150 brands, including Fashion Nova, BoutineLA, Stronger Sweden, Bulgari, and other renowned brands. Cassidy also uses social media to promote her fitness and diet guide, as well as her own brand where she makes and sells custom tie-dye and acid wash clothing. aside from using social media as a source of income. Through her content, Cassidy has gained a large following, and can be found on Tiktok (2000k+followers), Instagram (20k+ followers), as well as YouTube (500 subscribers).

For Cassidy, social media is much more than a source of income. In fact, it provides an outlet and allows her to make an impact. Cassidy tells the story of how, in 2014, she fell off a skateboard while going down a hill, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Cassidy had to be flown to the nearest hospital, was intubated twice, and went into a comatose state. She was diagnosed with a fractured skull, subdural hematoma, and hearing loss. Prior to this accident, Cassidy was an elite soccer player on the Olympic Development team and had aspirations to join the US Women’s National Team; however, after the accident, she knew her soccer career was over. During her recovery, Cassidy learned a lot about herself and realized that she wanted to make a difference in the world.

“After surviving such a traumatic experience, I feel that it is my duty to inspire others to live life to the fullest and never look back,” states Cassidy.

Despite being pretty camera shy in the past, Cassidy was encouraged by her partner to post content more often. Once she started sharing memorable moments with her following, Cassidy realized how she could transform her passion into a career as a full-time influencer. Cassidy shares:

“The biggest challenge for me was putting my personal needs aside and thinking from a consumer’s point of view. Before I post content on social media, I ask myself these three questions. Is it educational? Is it relatable? Is it engaging? If the content I make does not provide some kind of value, I am doing a disservice to my followers.”

While getting a business started is far from easy, Cassidy has remained positive and motivated to keep moving forward. In fact, she recognizes that despite the feelings of discouragement one may experience at times, mindset is key in starting and growing your business.

“It’s important to understand that the mistakes we make are there to guide us in the right direction. The first step to achieving anything is BELIEVING you can,” shares Cassidy.

With that in mind, Cassidy believes in the law of attraction and starts every morning off by writing down 10 positive affirmations and 10 things she is grateful for. This helps Cassidy get into a healthier and more positive mindset that can get her through any tough situations during the day. One of the biggest obstacles that Cassidy has faced is dealing with hate on social media, however, she doesn’t let that get her down.

“I’ve come to the realization that no matter what you do, people are always going to have something to say, so you might as well give them something to talk about! Your self worth is not indicative of the opinion of others,” says Cassidy.

This year, Cassidy plans to continue expanding her social media presence and focus on building a network of clients for her fitness/diet guides so that she can continue to inspire others and help guide them towards their goals. As Cassidy says,

“Success is forging your own path and doing whatever you believe you were set out

to do. I believe that my purpose in life is to inspire people to live a healthy and happy life, and as long as I’m doing that I am succeeding.”
