Founded in 2012, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is undergoing a ruckus. Facing serious allegations, which seem to rise with every passing day, it is under immense pressure.
It started with the arrest of the party’s founder and former Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal in June this year based on accusations against multiple irregularities in the liquor policy implementation.
The CBI then said that AAP got Rs 45 crore as bribery and Kejriwal promised to pay Rs 90 lakh to party nominees in Goa.
Moreover, the party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Swati Maliwal, lodged a complaint against Bhibhav Kumar, who is Kejriwal’s close aide and manager, for assaulting her when she went to meet the CM at his residence on May 13, 2024.
The opposition’s release of statements and insults against the party has also severely ruined its image. This was clear with AAP’s extremely poor performance in this Lok Sabha election.
